Horse Show Rules and Regulations
  • This show is PAC approved!
  • AQHA rules will be used with show management reserving the right to modify them as needed.
  • Exhibitor age is determined as of January 1, 2009.
  • Show attire and equipment are optional, but the judge will consider legal equipment and appropriate attire in the overall presentation.
  • Boots are mandatory for all classes.
  • Helmets are required for the English classes.
  • Stallions are allowed for 19 and Over exhibitors only.
  • Any entry that is deemed unsafe to the horse, rider, spectators or other exhibitors will be excused from the class without discussion at the discretion of the judge.
  • The judge’s decision is final. Any exhibitor or his representative that interferes with, or displays disrespect to, the show judge or show management is subject to disqualification and will be asked to leave the grounds immediately.
  • No exhibitor or parent will be allowed to talk with the judge until AFTER the show is complete. Please contact show management with questions or clarification during the show.
  • All protests must be made in writing, accompanied with a non-refundable $100 fee and must plainly state the merits of the complaint.
  • Halter classes will not count for high point (but may be used as a tie-breaker, if necessary)
  • Exhibitors must use a one-horse/one-rider combination for high point.
  • Points will be determined by the exhibitors in each class. If there are six or more exhibitors, 1st place = 6 points; 2nd place = 5 points; 3rd place = 4 points; 4th place = 3 points; 5th place = 2 points and 6th place = 1 point. If there are less than six exhibitors in a class, the points will be pro-rated (for example:  four exhibitors in a class means 1st place = 4 points; 2nd place = 3 points and so on).
  • High point and reserve high point in each age division (Walk-Trot, 18 & Under and 19 & Over) will receive Montana Silversmith buckles donated by Cavenders Boot City, Lewisville, TX.
  • High Point English and High Point Western will receive Montana Silversmith buckles donated by Cavenders Boot City, Lewisville, TX.
  • The high point exhibitors from all divisions with the most points, will be named the Overall High Point Champion and will receive an Alamo Saddlery saddle donated by Fulton’s Metal and Hardware .
  • Ties for high point, reserve high point or overall champion will be broken by halter placings. If a tie still exists, the tie will be broken by the exhibitor with the most number of 1st place placings (then 2nd place placings and so on, if necessary).  The judge will choose a pre-determined class as a final tie-breaker.
  • Horse Show Entry fee is $8 if pre-entered and pre-paid; $10 the day of the show with a $10 office fee per horse.
  • WE ENCOURAGE AN OPEN CHECK AS NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON!
