7 Teams: 4 Man Teams

Team Branding

3 minute time limit.
Roping calves will be used.
Calves will be in a free roaming herd at bucking chute end. Two teams will compete at a time.
(1) Team member will be the roper
(2) Team members will flank and hold
The fourth team member will paint the brand.

A line will be chalked across the arena. When the signal is given, ropers will enter the herd and rope a calf. When the roper catches a calf he must drag him across the line to their team members. 2 team members flank the calf and remove the rope. The brander then brands the calf once the rope is removed. The rope must be removed before branding. Teams must rope and brand two calves each. Calf must be roped around the neck or be healed. No front legs or body ropes. Time will end when second calf is branded. Failure to rope and brand two calves will result in a max time.

Team Doctoring

2 minute time limit.

All four team members will be mounted. Steers will be in a free roaming herd. The announcer will have the draw and give the team a number. Team must rope the steer called. Once the steer is headed and healed the other two team members will mark the steer on the head and remove the ropes. Time will stop when steer is marked and free of ropes. No front leg or body catches.

Maverick Catch-in

The object is to rope both steers and tie them down in a 4 minute time period.

4 minute time limit.

Two roping steers will be let out at the same time.  They will be chute run.  Each team has four loops and they can be used however each team wants.  When the first steer is roped he has to be tied down and stay tied down until the second steer is caught and tied down.
After the second steer has been caught and tied down he must stay tied for six seconds.
The team member who roped the first steer cannot be the first loop on the second steer.
If a team does not rope both steer and tie them down by the rules that are stated above then it is a no time.

Team Sorting

2 minute time limit.

Yearlings will be in a free roaming herd. Only one team member is allowed to enter the herd at a time. Other team members can help retain and position the herd. The object is to remove as many of the correct cattle as you can in 2 minutes. The announcer will give the team a starting number. The herd will be numbered from 1-20. If you are given #1 then you remove that animal first and then come back for #2. Once you remove him you come back for #3 and so on. A team will be given 5 points for each correct animal removed.
