Late entries accepted ($10 per head late fee) through Thursday, August 22, 2024 by 8:00 a.m.

Arrival: Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Toothed and Weighed: Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Commercial Goat Show: Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

Release: Following completion of breed, if not in champion drive or showmanship contest

Trailer parking ONSITE, pending on weather. Overflow trailer parking offsite.

No showing off trailer. Livestock must be stalled in barn.

HEALTH CERTIFICATES NOT REQUIRED for TEXAS LIVESTOCK ONLY. State validation not required.

This is a non-sanctioned show.

SPECIAL RULES

  1. ENTRY FEES: $20 per head.
    • Online entry link available on Commercial Junior Goats page via ntfair.com. Online entry deadline – August 15, 2024.
    • Mail-in entries accepted through August 5, 2024. Preferred method of entry is online!
  2. Late entries will also be accepted upon arrival ($10 late fee per head). Exhibitors must be registered and weighed in by 9:00 a.m. on show day.
  3. Exhibitors must check in at livestock office. Exhibitor packets are received at this time.
  4. Commercial goats will be toothed and weighed. All animals will show toothed.
  5. Horns must be tipped for safety reasons.
  6. Weight cards, passes and parking stickers will be enclosed in packets. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have their weight card(s) turned into the livestock office on time (9:00 a.m.). Failure to do so will result in disqualification, and entry fees will not be reimbursed.
  7. Digital scales will be set up for your use before weight cards are due.
  8. No outside bedding allowed. Shavings and pellets will be available for purchase on grounds.
  9. There will not be a minimum or maximum weight limit.
  10. There is no limit on the number of head an exhibitor may enter.
  11. Not a terminal show.
  12. Awards: Ribbons for 1st through 6th places | Awards for Division Champion
  13. Animals will be divided into classes as equally as possible. The show superintendent will determine the number of classes based on the total number of entries. The show superintendent has the authority to make the final decision on where to break the classes based on weight. Classes will be divided into classes as equally as possible.
