The Baking Contest presents an annual exhibition of breads, cakes, candy, cookies and pies prepared and exhibited by amateur bakers. With many adult and youth classes, everything from cornbread to fudge is accepted and judged to determine grand champions during the fair!
Adult Entry Fees – $4.00 pre-registration, $5.00 day of contest
Youth Entry Fees – $2.00 pre-registration, $3.00 day of contest
Online Entry Deadline – August 16, 2026
Bring completed entry form, which can be found below, to contest check in. Blank forms will be available at the door. All rules, guidelines and classes are included on each entry form.
All minors need a signed release form, which can be found below.
If you enter online, you will receive a one-day pass to the fair for each day you enter. For youth entries, you will receive one child’s ticket and one adult pass. These passes may be picked up from Mary Bridges on Wednesday, August 19 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Creative Arts Department.

Check-in will take place in Texas Regional Bank Fair Hall, and judging will immediately follow.
