RODEO QUEEN CONTEST

The NTFR Rodeo Royalty consists of a queen, teen, princess and junior princess who represent the North Texas Fair Association throughout the upcoming year! These young ladies are chosen based on judges’ scores in horsemanship, appearance, personality and speech categories; and they are crowned on the third night of the fair during the final Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) performance.

The ‘Contest Rules, Qualifications and Guidelines’ and ‘Rodeo Royalty Obligations/Contract’ must be read in full before entering this contest. Interested parties must be able to meet and adhere to these rules and requirements. Not doing so may deny one the right to compete for a North Texas Fair & Rodeo Royalty title.

Entry Fee: $100. Entry Deadline: July 15, 2023. Entries must include the following items and be sent to: Gayla Bolin, 6728 Mustang Trail, Sanger, TX 76266. Entry fee will be non-refundable once the contest has started if the contestant decides not to compete.

Queen: 19 – 25 years old | Teen: 14 – 18 years old | Princess: 9 – 13 years old | Junior Princess: 5 – 8 years old

RODEO ROYALTY OBLIGATIONS

The 2023-2024 North Texas Fair & Rodeo Queen, Teen, Princess and Junior Princess will be obligated to represent NTFR from the time the title is won at the 2023 fair through the time the event is held, and new winners are announced, at the 2024 fair. All title holders are expected to appear groomed and looking their best while wearing modet western clothing (official western dress), their crown, sash and buckle when appearing and making representations as NTFR Rodeo Royalty. Title holders are always expected to represent and appear this way at the North Texas Fair & Rodeo.

As representatives of the North Texas Fair & Rodeo, title holders will:

  • Exhibit good, honest and positive behavior always
  • Refrain from using profanity and inappropriate language
  • Refrain from smoking, drinking alcohol and/or using illegal substances
  • Not become engaged, marries or pregnant during the term of title reign
  • Not let a boyfriend or companion be known about at appearances or on any social media accounts
  • Not exhibit public displays of affection with a boyfriend or companion of that nature
  • Not compete for other rodeo royaly titles without consulting the NTFR Rodeo Royalty Director first
  • Not create social media accounts using the NTFR title. All social media accounts for Miss Rodeo North Texas Fair queen, teen, princess and junior princess are to be maintained by NTFR officials and/or the designated chairperson(s) or coordinator(s)
  • Anything a title holder has made using the NTFR title, name or logo must be approved by the Miss Rodeo North Texas Fair Director or another representative of NTFR. This includes chaps, any articles of clothing or other items.
  • Pictures and details of all event representations are expected and need to be emailed or sent via text to the Director for use on the official social media accounts for Miss Rodeo North Texas Fair

Title holders are required to represent NTFR throughout north Texas at multiple events, activities, etc. as outlined in the ‘Rodeo Royalty Obligations/Contract’. New title holders are not required to represent at the 2023 NTFR after winning, but any time they are able to attend and represent is encouraged and welcomed if they are able to do so.
