North Texas Fair & Rodeo Announcing Change in First Weekend Schedule
[DENTON, TEXAS] – Due to the heat this weekend, we will delay the opening of our rides and games in the midway until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, August 17th and 18th, 2024. While the evenings are looking pleasant, gates open at 1:00 p.m. these two days, and we want all of our patrons to be safe and comfortable the entire time they are here!
The rest of the fair will be open as normal, so you can enjoy all our family attractions (Swifty Swine, Loop Rawlins’ Wild West Show, the petting zoo and pony rides, Ag-Ventureland, etc.), shopping in the commercial exhibit building and great fair food during the day! The midway is scheduled to open at 6:00, and the rest of the night will run as planned! The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo will begin at 7:30 p.m. both nights, and headlining concerts by Josh Turner and Michael Salgado will follow the rodeo performances.
